Things were quiet in the shop today. No unexpected fruit, gremlins being odd, or other distractions.

William knew full well there were chances it wouldn't last, so he was taking advantage of it while he could and using the time to work on his battlebot for class. He'd be happy to put it aside to help anyone though.

One of the advantages of working in a repair shop is that slow days afforded William plenty of time to work on his own projects. He'd been reading up on forensic techniques that relied on the luminescence of certain fluids under UV light, and so was drafting blueprints for a portable light-in-a-box he could use when he ever returned back home.

"Waffle iron?" William boggled at the note the customer had written. "How am I supposed t- that doesn't even make any sense!"
